Magic Herbs, written mostly at the age of 29 is Kalomiris' first claim to immortality. This is an enchanting song cycle without an equal in world literature.  The full score remains unpublished but is available as a photocopy from the Manolis Kalomiris Society which also has the published piano score and the orchestral parts.

A 1983 recording by the Austrian Radio with mezzo-soprano Daphne Evangelatos and the Tonkünstler Orchestra under Miltiades Caridis (Καρύδης) is available on CD. The prelude and first 3 songs are available for download as JPEG files (piano score) and MP3 files here.

The poems by Palamas are available in Greek and English and there is a short note in Greek and in English.
